Diets, Cards, and Books oh my!!!

Today I wanted to share a couple of things with you. First I want to tell you that I am no longer doing HCG. I decided a few weeks ago that I needed a change in my diet. So after doing some research I am going to do a combo type diet. I am doing Calorie shifting, high fiber, and exercising. Hoping that the combination of the 3 will help me in loosing more weight. The HCG is a really great way to get you on the road to weight loss, but I find it is not something you can do forever. There comes a time when you will not get the results you are expecting. I was eating very low calories, but not seeing good results. So I figure my time with it is done for now, and I need to move in a different direction. The high fiber diet is one that I have mentioned, and have done before. It is called Fiber 35. Even though I did not have great success with it before, my fault as I really did not try, I feel like it is truly the best diet available. The book has so much wonderful information about the importance of fiber. Has exercise tips, has a sample menu. Everything you need to get you started. I have only been on it now for a few days and already I feel so much better than I did a few weeks ago and have started loosing the 5 pounds I gained after stopping HCG. A little bloated and gassy from all they fiber that I am not use to eating, but I have more energy. Being on HCG was hard because I was on so little calories. I felt run down a lot and certainly was not eating enough calories to exercise. But I am feeling much better now and ready to see some results.

The Calorie Shifting part that I will be doing is basically figuring out how many calories you should eat at the size you want to be and then shifting those calories around differently every day. I want to be 145 weight, which gives me about 1300 calories a day. So I times that by 7 which is around 9000 something. Then I divide it back up into different amounts each day. What this does is keep your body from realizing you are on a diet. If it does not know you are on a diet, then it want go into starvation mode and store fat. Your metabolism will continue to burn the fat and hopefully you will not have any plateau's. If you want more info on calorie shifting, do a search. There is calorie shifting, calorie swapping, calorie zig zagging. I found a bunch of info on Sparkspeople. I realized after reading the Fiber 35 book again that they do some calorie shifting on their meal plan. So perhaps that's all you need to do is follow their program. By doing so you will eat a high fiber, low calorie, low fat, low carb diet and shift your calories all in one. Really it is a perfect diet to follow. Lets just hope it will work!! Now I want to share my lasted swap card. I love this little card. It is a card idea I got from Split Coast stampers called Gate Fold It is very fun to make and very easy tutorial to follow. I love the videos on Split Coast. Videos are the way to go when you are a visual person like me. Anyways, the little frog stamp I used is from Digi Scrap Kits. Right now all of her stamps and clip art are on sale. I paid 1.00 for this little digi stamp and I can use it over and over again. You can color an image and then all you have to do is copy it on your printer to use as many times as you wish. I just made a little file folder and I keep the originals in the folder. I do love digi stamps the best of any stamps I have ever used. When I have some time, I am going to get all my rubber stamps down and stamp them and save the images. Then I will be able to get rid of the 12 containers of stamps I have on the shelf. More space in my room!!! Yoowhoo!!! Notice the bling on my card. For some reason I just cannot make a card without bling!!! I put on some stickles and a cute little rhinestone!!! Then for the inside of card I just took away the frog in my paint program by erasing him. Then I put it all together using my photoshop elements 7. Awesome and fun!!!

My review...this book grabbed me in the beginning, lost me a little in the middle which is easy to do for me, but then grabbed me again in the end. It had some happiness, sadness, and even a little scariness!! It showed me that your very own thoughts could be your worst enemy and that you yourself cannot always be trusted!!! Definitely a Spiritual journey and one worth reading. It goes into my favorite read catagory. My next book is another Coleen Coble "Without a Trace" we are introduced to the people of Rock Harbor. This is the first of her Rock Harbor Series. Earlier we read Abomination which was an extra book written after all the others. So now we get to go back to the beginning. Only on chapter one and its looking real good!!!
