Great News!!!

Wowsa, I cannot believe its been way over a month since I blogged last. Time sure does fly when you are having fun. What have I been up to lately..... So much. Lets see where to start first.

A new church home!!!! Yeehawwww!!! Was not really looking for one, but it found us anyway. It has made me love going to church again. Its been a long time since I had that feeling. I cannot wait for Sunday mornings. In fact, I was thinking the other day that I wish we could have church every day. I always leave with such a wonderful feeling. Look forward to really getting our feet planted in this church. Its been a long time since I felt that way also. This coming Sunday I will actually be a door greeter. How exciting is that!!! I am hoping to serve on our Welcome team as I really know what it feels like to visit new churches and need to feel welcomed. God is so awesome!!! He knew exactly what I was wanting in a church and brought it right to me!!! Thank you God for our new Church. I pray that it will go BIG and everything we do will glorify your name!!! Amen!!!

Making so many new friends these days. Had some doors close, only to find new ones opening. I think I finally let down those walls I had built up over the past few years. It really feels good. It just seems that my life has completely changed. I have sort of put my scrap booking on the back burner for now. I know "Hush my mouth" but I think it was something I had to do to move forward. I started doing more of my Crochet, but my newest love is Quilting. A lady that I have become great friends with through my home school Co-op got me interested in it. She started taking a class at our local Quilt shop and the quilt she is making is putting the front, middle, and back all on so that when she is done, the quilt is completed. No making the top and then spending a bundle putting on the back. It is done square by square!!! Totally awesome. My whole reason for not quilting is I did not like the idea of making a quilt top and never finishing it because of lack of money to put on the back. This way you are doing it little by little and the cost is spread out through the quilt. Thank you Rita for getting me excited about Quilting. The quilt that I am making is for my husband. He went shopping with me and picked out all the colors. He did an amazing job of picking out these colors. Here they are

Now here are the 3 squares I have completed. Each of these are 12 1/2 by 12 1/2.

The name of this square is "Broken Dishes"

The name of this square is "Sarah's Choice"
And the name of this one is "Churn Dash"
Please note that I am doing these squares with very little experience in quilting and no help. Just a wing and a prayer. Having a great time!!!
I will post more as I do them and hopefully will soon be able to post a picture of the finished quilt.
That's it for now. I know I have said this before, but maybe if I say it enough times I will actually do it. I hope to post more often to my blog. I really do have so many things I want to share. So please check back just in case I actually do what I say. Love to all!!!
