Excellant Weekend!!!

This weekend was great fun. There was shopping, cropping, good food and fellowship. Saturday morning my friends and I went to our local high school craft show. Its one of my favorites, because one of my favorite raggedy makers, is always there selling her dolls. I was so excited to see what new things she had made for this craft show. She had some awesome Santa's this year. I wish, wish I could afford to buy them. Of course if I did, I would have to leave them out all year. That would just be to silly. So I stuck with my raggedy dolls. She had several cute ones to choose from, but I fell in love with this one. I loved her hair and the silly little nose on her face. Her expression just explained exactly how I felt at the time of purchase. I think I will have to name her Flo LOL!!! I also purchased this plaque to put amongst my dolls. Says "My old rag doll is torn and in tatters, but I love her anyways and that's all that matters."Isn't this just the cutest little saying. Love it!!!

Then of course I ran into another booth that I have shopped many times. She had some new little resin dolls, ornaments, and a pillow for me to buy.

I discovered after I got home, that this little ornament was broken :(

But I put it on the tree anyway. The face is still very cute. I will just have to be cleaver and come up with something different to do with her after Christmas.

Then we found a booth a ways down and my friend bought me my Christmas present from it. Turned out that the booth was the daughter of my raggedy lady, that I bought my doll from. Cool huh!!! Just goes to show you that I love their stuff.
These plaques I plan to put in my bathroom once I get finished painting. Probably want be till after Christmas. Thank you Shell for my awesome Christmas present. I love them!!!

After the craft show, we made our way to the Crop at our LSS. We met 6 other ladies there to crop the day away. We brought chips, dips, sweets, and had a Christmas ornament exchange. I received a cute little Snowman ornament for my tree. Perfect for me since I love snowmen so much. I actually was able to get something accomplished this time. Its not ready to show you just yet, but its not far from being ready. I need to sit down and put on my finishing touches, and then I can give you a peek.
After the crop, which we left around 6:30 pm, we met at the best Chinese restaurant in town "Grand Buffet", for some good ole crab legs, and shrimp. I ate till I nearly popped. I do believe going to crop all day with friends, and then meeting for dinner at this place, has got to rank at the top of my most favorite things to do!! I hope we do it again next month.
Anyways, I got home I guess around 8:30 or so, and I was ready to collapse. I was in bed by 10:00 and asleep by 10:05. I use to go cropping for 14 hours at one time, and never missed a beat. I think I have gotten a little out of practice. Maybe it had to do with the fact that I did not get to bed till 2:30 the night before. Anyways, it truly was a wonderful day, and I look forward to the next time we are all together!!!
Sunday was another great day. We decided to sleep in the morning, as I felt like I needed the rest. Afterwards, we got dressed, and went Christmas shopping. That really was fun!!! I managed to get most of my childrens Christmas bought. I do love shopping at Christmas, because you find the most unique gadgets during this time of year. One of my favorite stores is Bed, Bath and Beyond. They have the neatest gifts. Just love that store!!! Anyways, now all I need to do is buy some stocking stuffers, and gifts for my family.
After shopping we came home and got dressed up in our Sunday best, and went to Church to see 3 of our friends, and my son's girlfriend, sing in a Christmas special. It was so beautiful. They did an awesome job. My son's girlfriend has the voice of an Angel. Its nice to know that we could possibly have some singing talent enter the family some day!!! She is such a pretty girl with a sweet, sweet spirit!! After the musical, we all went out for dinner for Italian. We went through our list of places we had already eaten over the weekend, and Italian was the best choice. Its a very small resturant, and we were the only ones there. It was very nice and relaxing to sit and talk with friends. The food was most excellant. We stayed until they were ready to kick us out. It truly was one of those grand weekends with friends and one to remember!!!
