Ummmmm!!!! Doesn't this look good. I was trying to think of a cleaver name for my new recipe drink, but nothing seem to come to mind. So I will just call it "Warm Vanilla Milk" Yesterday, I was online looking for a warm drink that I could make for this winter. One of my favorite things to do on a cold day is snuggle up on the couch with either my laptop or a magazine and sip on something warm. I did not want chocolate (gasp), but I wanted something more in the vanilla taste. Yes, imagine that. Me wanting Vanilla. Anyway, I looked and looked and looked for something that sounded good. I finally decided to get in the kitchen and experiment. I mean how hard can it be really. So here is what I came up with.
1 mug of fat free milk heated in microwave for about 2 minutes
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 heaping teaspoons of confectioners sugar (splenda would work also)
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Stir all ingredients together in the hot milk. Then taste. Add more sugar, vanilla or cinnamon if desired.
Then top with low fat or fat free whip cream with a dash of pumpkin spice on top.
Sit back and enjoy the goodness!!! It is sure to give you that cozy warm feeling you might need on a cold wintry day!!!
