Black Bean Burger

Is YUM! YUM! YUM!!!!! I first ate this at the Movie Grill and fell in love with it on the first bite. So I decided I needed to try and make it at home. I looked online for a recipe, but most of them call for too many extra ingredients that I know my family would not appreciate if I added them to the burgers. I was challenged enough getting them to try Black Bean Burgers. I knew I better not push my luck. So I just winged it on my own.
In my food processor I added,
3 cans of Black Beans (thoroughly drained)
2 eggs
half of package of fat free crackers (crumbled)
dash of southwest seasoning
dash of garlic seasoning
and 2 dashes of woshisher sauce
Blended all items till smooth
I heated my griddle and sprayed it with cooking spray
I spooned out a large spoon full of mix and flattened it on griddle in the size of a burger. Be sure to make it very thin so that it will cook crispy. Wait a few minutes till it has time to cook on one side and then flip. I continued to flip them back and forth till I thought they were crispy on both sides without burning them. Then I added my low fat 2% American cheese.
I then put all the burger fixin's on the burgers. Onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mustard, light mayo.
Very, very good Burger without all the extra fat of red meat, but still lots of protein, fiber and veggies. My family really liked them. I was so happy to hear that I almost cried. So just know this, if they liked them, than they must be good. So give them a try.
