Tuesdays Child

Mondays child is fair of face,

Tuesdays child is full of grace,

Wednesdays child is full of woe,

Thursdays child has far to go,

Fridays child is loving and giving,

Saturdays child works hard for his living,

And the child that is born on the Sabbath day

Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

I just love this little poem. I thought of it today, cause of it being Tuesday. It just popped into my head and thought it would be a pleasant way to start out my post.
I am defiantly a Tuesdays child. I was born on February 12 1963 which was a Tuesday http://www.number-one.org/~rigg/dlr0164.htm. I guess I really never knew that until now. My DD was born on a May 4th, 1999 which is also a Tuesday. So she is a Tuesday's child as well. My DH was born November 10, 1963 on a Sunday. So that makes him bonny and blithe. Yes I do believe that about him. He is always a happy guy and everyone loves him. He also is very handsome. My son was born on August 21, 1987 on a Friday. So he is a Friday's Child. He is definitely loving. Not sure about the giving. I think he probably is very giving. Just not to me. LOL!!!! My hubby and I were married on June 2 1983 on a Friday. So I guess Tuesdays and Fridays are very significant days for me. LOL!!!
Now back to Tuesday's child full of grace. What does that mean anyway?
grace (grās) Pronunciation Key n.
Seemingly effortless beauty or charm of movement, form, or proportion.
A characteristic or quality pleasing for its charm or refinement.
A sense of fitness or propriety.
A disposition to be generous or helpful; goodwill.
Mercy; clemency.
Divine love and protection bestowed freely on people.
The state of being protected or sanctified by the favor of God.
An excellence or power granted by God.
A favor rendered by one who need not do so; indulgence.
A temporary immunity or exemption; a reprieve.
Graces Greek & Roman Mythology Three sister goddesses, known in Greek mythology as Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia, who dispense charm and beauty.
Divine love and protection bestowed freely on people.
The state of being protected or sanctified by the favor of God.
An excellence or power granted by God.
A short prayer of blessing or thanksgiving said before or after a meal.
Grace Used with His, Her, or Your as a title and form of address for a duke, duchess, or archbishop.
Music An appoggiatura, trill, or other musical ornanment in the music of 16th and 17th century England.

Most of that seems fitting for me. I think I am definitely generous and giving. I also am very protective of those I love. And I know that I have Gods protection in my life. He has been there many times for me. So yes I believe I am definitely a Tuesdays Child.

Ok, so now that we have established that, on with the show.....

Friday night I had the best, best time with my friends. We met at our local scrapbook store and had some great laughs together. Did I get anything done? Well I did finish my swap cards. I had started them earlier in the week and so I took some time to complete them. I did have some time to play with Oodles (aka Cricut). I have not had a lot of time to play with some of the features. I was also trying my best to enable my friend into getting one. LOL!!! Not that I think she has to have one, cause she is always welcomed to use mine, but just the challenge of her saying I could not talk her into buying one, I just had to try. She was a tough cookie though. She did not give a inch. I tried to make every cute thing I could think of and no budging. Nothing like some of my other friends. All I had to do was turn the machine on and make a simple cut and we were racing to the nearest Walmart to purchase. I do love to enable people though. I just want to share the happiness that I feel when I am playing with my machine or any other scrapbook/stamp tool ect... that I own. I just think every person should be so happy, as I am. Ha! that is part of my grace!!! Helping others to spend there money and find happiness. LOL!!! Anyway, the evening was cut an hour short for us cause of bad weather threats. None of us wanted to be stranded out in the rain with our scrapbook stuff. So we packed up early and got home before the rain hit. I barely made it home in time and then it came a down pour. Thank goodness for our husbands who watch after our safety even when we do not realize it.

Saturday we spent the day out and about. We as in DH, DD and myself, went to the movies to see Nancy Drew. We actually went there with the intentions of seeing Surfs Up, but once we got there, we all decided we wanted to see Nancy Drew instead. It was a cute movie. Then we went to Walmart, Central Market and the Scrapbucket. I do love the Scrapbucket. I had not been there since they moved a few doors down, but their crop room is very nice. Will have to try it out sometime in the future. I really did not spend a lot of money but my DD had a great time. Oh what have I started. I am so glad that I have bought most of the stuff I need cause I fear that the rest of my money will be spent on her. She is a chip off the ole block. She is starting to catch the scrapbook fever also. So we leave to come home and we are caught right in the middle of a huge, huge thunderstorm. It was quite scary actually. The traffic was moving at a high speed of 30 for about 20 miles. I thought we would never get back home. We spent the rest of the evening watching movies from our nice cozy bed.

Sunday we slept in and then off to the store for some grocery shopping. I decided to start back on my Slim Fast diet. I have always been a huge fan of shakes and Slim Fast happens to be my favorite. I was reading a article in my favorite Women's Magazine about shake diets and they named Slim Fast as the all American favorite. So I decided what the heck. Nothing else I do seems to work. So we went to the grocery store and bought some Slim Fast. I got the new chocolate high protein powder and my DH bought the canned ready to drink. He likes anything quick. I would rather mix with ice to make a frozen shake. Monday was our start day.

Ok so now Monday we did our shakes as we were told. Breakfast and Lunch. Surprisingly I felt more energetic. I guess because of all the vitamins. I did some bouncing on my trampoline and then for dinner I cooked fish, baked potato and salad. The fish of choice was Mai Mai. I had never tried that fish and thought it would be good. I just seasoned it with lemon pepper, garlic and lemon juice. I grilled it on my inside griddle. I cooked only one baked potato and halved it with DH. The salad I put in tomatoes, red peppers, mushrooms, spinach, romaine lettuce, purple onion and sprinkled on a little feta cheese. It was very yummy. I did encounter a few bones while eating the fish. So I might not go with the Mai Mai. One of my biggest fears in life is choking on a fish bone. Do not ask me why, cause I do not know, but I am terrified of that. I did have one poke me in the throat and I swallowed and it went down after I raced to the kitchen and gulped a glass of water. I worried all night about it poking my stomach or intestines. I think I just watch to much "House" That show really makes you think about the small stuff. So I did not like that experience of the Mai Mai. Other than that, it tasted wonderful. I will just pick a different fish next time.

That's it!!! Here it is Tuesday. I have had my 2 shakes today and already thinking about dinner. I am fixing some BONELESS chicken. LOL!!!! I believe we will have Grilled Chicken, broccoli and another salad. I love salads in the summer time. I could eat them every meal. I do not want to bore hubby though. He is not as much of a salad eater as I am. So I have to be careful and not burn him out to quickly. He is doing so good eating veggies these days. I have tried for many years to get him to eat veggies. He is a meat, red beans and potato man. So now he will eat Broccoli, Spinach, Onions, Mushrooms, Green Beans, He gave tomatoes and red peppers a try recently and says they are SO SO. In other words, he would rather not have them. LOL!!! I want give up though. Its my nature to help people however I can. Its all because I am Tuesdays child full of Grace!!! Who would have Thunk!!! (wink, wink)
